Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data Launch Preppers collects, how it is used, and what your rights are. Plain language, no lawyer-speak. If you have a privacy question that is not answered here, email kim@launchpreppers.com and I will answer it.

WHAT I COLLECT

Contact form submissions

When you submit the contact form, I collect your name, email, optional company name, and the message you send. The site also records basic technical information such as your IP address for spam prevention, rate limiting, security monitoring, and troubleshooting. This information is stored in my database, used to reply to you, and used to keep a record of our communication. Contact form notifications and auto-replies are sent through Acumbamail SMTP.

Sample report requests

When you request the sample report, I collect your name, email, optional company, and optional role. The site also records basic technical information such as your IP address and browser user agent for spam prevention, rate limiting, security monitoring, and troubleshooting. This is used to save the lead record, send you the download link for the sample PDF through Acumbamail SMTP, track whether the link was sent and downloaded, and, if you opt in, add you to my email list for occasional updates.

Newsletter list

If you opt in to receive updates when requesting the sample report, your name, email, and company name if provided are added to my Acumbamail mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email I send.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects usage information about your visit, such as pages viewed, time on site, approximate location, browser type, and device type. This data is processed by Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy.

GA4 only loads if you accept cookies via the consent banner that appears on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics tracking happens.

Server logs

Like every website, my server and hosting provider keep basic technical logs such as IP addresses, request times, pages requested, browser user agent, and error details. These logs are used for security monitoring and troubleshooting. The intended retention for site-controlled logs is 30 days. Hosting-provider logs may also be retained by 20i according to its own hosting policies.

WHAT I DO NOT COLLECT

I do not sell your data to anyone, ever. I do not share it with marketing partners. I do not use it for retargeting ads. I do not track you across other websites.

HOW LONG I KEEP IT

Contact messages: Kept indefinitely unless you ask me to delete them.

Sample report leads: Kept indefinitely unless you ask me to delete the record. Unsubscribing stops email updates, but it does not automatically delete the original lead or download record.

Newsletter subscribers: Kept until you unsubscribe.

Analytics data: Retained according to the GA4 retention settings configured for the property.

Server logs: Intended site-controlled log retention is 30 days. Hosting-provider logs may also be retained by 20i according to its own hosting policies.
